Doug Sinclair brings Relay2 a wealth of senior financial and operational management expertise across a range of industries, including enterprise software, telecommunications, and Internet services. His experience spans from start-up ventures to established public companies. He has led four initial public offerings, four successful corporate sales, numerous acquisitions, corporate turnarounds, and a management buy-out. Doug was Chief Financial Officer of EcoFactor, Inc., a pioneer in cloud-based energy management services. He was CFO of IPWireless, where he led the company’s management buyout from its parent company, NextWave Wireless, and played a role in its subsequent acquisition by General Dynamics. Doug was also CFO of Zing Systems (where he negotiated the company’s sale to Dell Inc.), and CFO of Stentor, Inc. (which was sold to Royal Philips Electronics for $275 million). He served as CFO and Chief Operating Officer of Vertical Networks, Inc., and CFO of Evolve Software, Inc., where he raised $30 million in mezzanine round funding and completed a successful NASDAQ IPO. Prior to that, as CFO at SoftNet Systems, Inc., he arranged for interim private financing and coordinated a $150 million secondary offering. He also served as CFO of SoftNet Systems, Inc.; of International Wireless Communications, Inc., and of Pittencrieff Communications, Inc., where he orchestrated the company’s NASDAQ IPO.
Doug earned an M.B.A. from Harvard and a B.S. in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
